Shortly after regaining the full use of her brain, Zoe was mentally taken over, along with many other Legionnaires, by an invading alien race who sought the destruction of everything.  The race, known as the Blight, were defeated soon, by the last remaining Legionnaires, just in time for the team to be split in half, much of the team being lost, and the rest disbanded by the new president of the United Planets, Leland McCauley.
